Junk FM
Based out of Minneapolis, Junk FM is a cover band like no other...
“You guys do everything I like, and are not at all what I expected…” Better descriptions are hard to find when people who are new to seeing a Junk FM show walk away making that kind of statement. Junk FM manages to accomplish something that’s difficult to categorize but easy to fall in love with: fire off party goers’ favorite songs with unexpected twists and surprising changes of pace! On many occasions, fans have confessed: “Junk FM RUINED some of my favorite songs – when I hear the originals all I can think is ‘I like Junk FM’s version better.’“
Through genre-bending mashups and juxtaposing styles, Junk FM delivers an infectious, high energy show by a crack team of musician-performers who just wanna see how ridiculous the dance floor can get over the course of the night. From Garth Brooks to Lady Gaga in one slamming step, simultaneous Eminem and Green Day, Cee Lo Green meets Rod Stewart all while stealing your drink. Junk FM doesn’t care what your idea of a great night is - they’re gonna show you how ridiculous your party can be!
This is a dancing party not to miss!
9pm - 12:30am
Aaron Simmons: A high-energy, emotional storyteller with Minnesota roots
“Big man. Bigger heart. Hailing from Stewartville, a small town in southeast Minnesota, Aaron Simmons is best known for his unique combination of high-energy stage presence and vulnerable songwriting. Nobody has more fun on stage, yet nobody is more in touch with the emotion his music conveys about love, loss, family, community, and chasing dreams.
Country music is storytelling, and that is what he does best.
Simmons released his debut album, "Third St SW," independently in 2020. The record peaked at #5 on the iTunes Country Albums Chart. After a few singles in 2021/2022 (including "78150" and "Nobody's Home in Wadena"), Simmons released his second independent album, "Center Avenue," in the summer of 2023.
Simmons was nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year in the Midwest Country Music Organization in 2022, New Artist of the Year in 2021, and his single “Nobody’s Home in Wadena” was nominated for Song and Music Video of the Year in 2022, as well as held the #1 position on Spotify's Local Pulse: Minneapolis chart for two consecutive weeks in August 2022.
He has lived in Nashville since 2021 and is influenced by Chris Stapleton, Caitlyn Smith, Brothers Osborne and Tenille Townes.”
