Food for Kidz

From: Kiwanis Club of Stewartville

On Saturday, April 6, 2019, the Kiwanis Clubs of Stewartville, Rochester, Winona, Spring Valley and Lake City, along with area High School Kiwanis Key Clubs and Middle School Kiwanis Builders Clubs will host the 16th annual FFK food pack event at the Stewartville Civic Center.  Last year more than 500 area volunteers assembled over 174,000 highly nutritional meals for the FFK program.  Food For Kidz of Stewart, MN will distribute the food packages to areas of the world where children are starving.  Last year two pallets of the packaged food were donated to Channel One.   More information can be found at:      www.foodforkidz.org

To date we have packaged over 1.6 million meals in 15 packing events. Again this year, our goal is to package 120,000 or more meals.  To do so we need to raise at least $18,000.  Funds to cover the cost of the food product and materials are required prior to the event.  Many local families support our effort with personal donations and help with packaging on the day of the event.  Because so many people in the Stewartville community participate in this worthwhile service project, we are asking if you would consider a monetary donation supporting this project, keeping in mind that each meal costs 15 cents to produce.  Your donation toward our goal of packaging 120,000 or more meals will help make this great community service project another huge success.

Please mail your check made out to “Food for Kidz” to the address below by March 29, 2019
